There are several tools that include screen capture and a video editing capabilities that are available with your SVSU account (e.g. faculty, staff, and registered students).

Screen Capture Tool Comparison

Important! EchoVideo Lecture Capture is available for academic use. EchoVideo allows you to screen capture with audio inside or outside of a classroom, provides a video and transcript editor, various tools to manage your media, engagement tools to increase student learning, and integrates with Canvas, Teams, OneDrive, and Zoom (pro account only). Advanced Editing Features

  • Transitions - Smooth transition between clips or can be applied to the beginning or end of a video.
  • Titles/Subtitles - Add text to a video clip to introduce a topic.
  • Audio effect - Adjust audio levels, add voice overs, and background music.
  • Visual effect - Correct or improve color of a video clip.
  • Speed Control - Speed up or slowdown the playback speeds of video clips.
  • Picture-in-Picture - Overlay a different video clip over another. 
  • Green screen - Allows you to replace the background with video or image.
