Making an Appointment Within the MS Bookings and Bookings with me Pages

If your teacher is using MS Bookings to reserve office hours with them, follow these instructions to use MS Bookings:

  1. Click the link.
  2. Select the length of time you'd like to request to meet.
  3. Available dates and times will be listed in the calendar.
  4. Select a date, then choose from available times.
  5. Type your full name into the name field, i.e., John Smith so I know who you are!
  6. Type your email address.
  7. Complete any other fields that are necessary for this meeting.
  8. Click Book
  9. A link to an online Teams meeting will be sent to you when you make the reservation.
  10. On the day of the appointment, it is preferred that you use the Teams Desktop Version - download and install MS Teams.
    1. If you are not able to use the Teams Desktop Version, you will use the online Teams interface by following these instructions:
      1. If using the online Teams interface, open Google Chrome or MS Edge.
      2. Go to the address teams.microsoft.com .
      3. Log in and authenticate.

        If you are using the online version of Teams, make sure your intials or profile picture appear in the top right corner - this means you are logged in.
         
  11. After you have logged in to Teams Desktop Version or the online version, keep the Teams tab open and continue to the meeting link.
  12. Using Google Chrome or MS Edge, open your Outlook Calendar and/or find the confirmation email and click on the link to Join the Teams meeting.  If you need instructions on attending a Teams meeting, go to svsu.edu, then choose Quicklinks->Submit and IT Support Ticket.  Search for the term "student" and select the title "Student/Attendee Guide to Joining a MS Teams Meeting that Originated in Canvas".  These instructions will be helpful in getting you into the Teams meeting.
