Camtasia is a video recording and editing software designed for creating tutorials, presentations, and instructional videos. It allows users to capture their screen, record audio, and edit video content using an easy-to-use interface with built-in effects and tools. At SVSU, the recommended video tools are Clipchamp or Echo360, with Camtasia available for use when those options do not meet specific needs.

Faculty can record their screen and webcam with the web app Browser Capture, it works on any computer with an internet connection. Choose a virtual background when recording with your webcam.

There are many types of screen capture software that allow you to take a screen shot of any image on your screen.  Most of these applications allow you to annotate, copy, save or print images you capture of the contents of your monitor. The Windows Snipping tool provides screen and video snipping.
