At SVSU, we prioritize security. One of the ways we demonstrate this is to make sure our organization and user's data does not fall into the wrong hands. We have turned on automatic email and attachment encryption for messages that contain personally identifiable information as well as financial data.

Purview Device Data Loss Prevention (DLP) limits copying and pasting sensitive data into a browser and certain desktop apps, as a security measure, to stop sensitive information from being unintentionally shared or exposed online. It works by confirming the intent to copy sensitive data, reminding the user to protect against data leaks or breaches.

Bitlocker is Microsoft's built in encryption method for files and flash drives. It ensures that whenever anyone tries to access them they have to enter a password, either for a specific file, folder, or an entire drive. There are different requirements and instructions depending on what your current Microsoft OS is. Outlook is SVSU's selected email service.  Although used mainly as an email application, other popular features include a calendar, task manager, and contact manager.  Users can choose between two computer interfaces, Outlook on the Web or Outlook desktop version, or use the Outlook app and stay connected on their mobile device.

The Outlook app gives you access to your Inbox on your mobile device (i.e., create and accept meeting invitations, add synced shared calendars, and more). It is avail
