Overview

Adobe Premiere Rush is a basic to advanced video editor included with our campus-wide Adobe licensing. You can create professional-looking videos on your desktop computer and mobile device. Use the Premiere Rush video editor for basic to advanced editing. Then, export them to your video platform.

Can I import a Premiere Rush project into Premiere Pro? 

Yes, Premiere Rush video projects can import into Premiere Pro (more precision and advanced editing). However, you cannot import projects from Adobe Premiere Pro back into Adobe Premiere Rush. Premiere Pro can be installed from the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Learn more about Premiere Pro

Faculty and Staff Access

You can install Premiere Rush on your on your university or personal computer.  You can access and Premiere Rush through the Creative Cloud desktop app or from your start menu in Windows or the Dock on your Mac computer.

System Requirements

Premiere Rush works on both PC and Mac computers. Check that your computer or device has the minimum requirements to install Premiere Rush. You will need a reliable Internet connection to install Premiere Rush.

Install Adobe Creative Cloud - desktop app

Open Adobe Creative Cloud

Once you download the Creative Cloud app, you can select which app(s) to install onto your university or personal computer. From the middle search box type in rush.

Click Premiere Rush Desktop from the list, you will see Learn more, the next screen that opens click Install.

Download videos from existing SVSU platforms

Video editing can be done on videos made in other platforms, its fast and easy to download them. Click the links below for instructions on each specific tool.

*Note: If you have a Zoom Pro account and Echo360, your cloud recording is automatically copied to Echo360 Library.

Launching Premiere Rush

The home interface will display your library of videos that you can open and manage or you can Create a New Project.

Editing your video with Premiere Rush

You can easily edit on your PC or Mac. Here are links to articles of the most common questions we get asked.  Alternatively, you can click Learn inside of Adobe Premiere Rush for a library of tutorials. 

Share your video

Easily share your video with others or download it for use in our supported platforms, upload to Echo360 (academic use) or Microsoft Stream (non-academic).

Learn the basics, or refine your skills with the tutorials inside of Premiere Rush, click Learn. Use the Sample media inside of Premiere Rush before working on an actual project.
